history

In 2014, Mary found herself in a strange situation. Mary’s best friend was pregnant with no family living nearby and lived a million miles away (okay, only 2400 miles away)! Virtual Showers was born! Since then, she has received interest and support from family and friends to cultivate this idea of connecting loved ones, sometimes over long distances, during the most special moments in their lives. It’s with this encouragement and her belief in bringing people together that Mary decided to launch Virtual Showers and bring this vision to others!
Her true passion is the execution of the event itself. She loves seeing and feeling people happy and connected even if they may be a million miles apart.
Mary is happiest when helping others. If you are thinking about any aspect of a long distance wedding or baby shower (or any other event for that matter) she would love to talk with you about it, toss around potential ideas that could work for your situation and budget.
She understands each situation is different and will work with you to provide potential solutions which will make your Virtual Shower special and unique.

mission
The mission of Virtual Showers is to connect people for special events, even if they can’t be in the same room.
Weddings are special occasions and everyone wants to celebrate, but sometimes you can’t physically attend the shower, the bachelorette party and the wedding. What do you do if you live far away, but still want to be involved in the pre-wedding celebrations? One simple solution is to host a virtual shower where you can connect with the bride before the big day. You'll be able to connect with the bride from the comfort of your own home!
Similarly, not everyone can physically attend a baby shower but connecting virtually allows grandparents who may not be able to travel, friends who may live in another country or an aunt who will visit when the baby arrives to connect before the big arrival.

about me
Mary is the queen of organization, not with her house or clothes, but with fun stuff like event planning and parties! She believes anything can be achieved by seeing the larger picture and creating smaller tasks, setting a timeline and sticking to it.
Mary cultivated these innate skills at Marquette University where she earned a B.A. in Marketing and Human Resources. She applied her skills during her 10 years of various (and interesting) work experiences and found planning events allowed her to express her creativity while drawing on her resourcefulness and innovative ideas to solve challenges.
